Totems

About Artwork

'Totems' is a generative spatial AR experience. 'Totems' are a conceptual deliberation on the subject of spirituality in modern society. The name relates to the idea of venerated guardian, deity, virtue, or in other words – one’s beliefs in general. In this context, totems don't need to be depicted as animalistic sculptures, or visualized spirits, but rather as a value that's crucial and worshiped in one's life.

How to interact with the Artwork

The features of each AR spatial experience are based on the first owner's ID (Ethereum address) and the edition number of the artwork collection. Every collector gets their own, unique 'Totem' – the selected set of traits that alter the experience.

Pawel X Olta Dynamic Toolkit

Pawel integrated Olta's dynamic art feature into his AR project 'Totems' for his installation "New Spirituality" at the Mark Rothko Art Center. This feature connects on-chain data with the artwork, allowing Pawel to create a personalized AR experience for each art collector, based on each collector's Ethereum wallet address.
